Abstract
Research on the Jewish communities in early modern Europe has experienced a considerable upswing over the past decades. This issue links the topic of early modern Jewish communities with considerations on concepts of space. Based on three different study areas, the contributions focus on the concrete spatial localization of Jewish communities in cities, in rural areas, or in the early modern territory.
